Chapter 4 - Help Menu

Understand "help" or "hint" or "hints" or "about" or "info" as asking for help.

Asking for help is an action out of world.

Carry out asking for help:

now the current menu is the Table of Options;

carry out the displaying activity;

clear the screen;

try looking.

[Bypass accessibility requirements for known things when chunking/unchunking/pondering]

The manipulating ideas rule is listed instead of the basic accessibility rule in the action-processing rules.

This is the manipulating ideas rule:

if noting anything, continue the action;

if confirming anything, continue the action;

if chunking anything with anything, continue the action;

if reacting anything with anything, continue the action;

if pondering a known thing, continue the action;

if the noun is a subject, continue the action;

if the noun is listed in STM or the noun is listed in LTM or the noun is listed in shattered memories, continue the action;

if the second noun is listed in STM or the second noun is listed in LTM or the second noun is listed in shattered memories, continue the action;

else abide by the basic accessibility rule.

Rule for printing a parser error when the latest parser error is the noun did not make sense in that context error:

if the player's command includes "chunk" or the player's command includes "unchunk":

say "You don't know what that is.";

else:

if the player's command includes "ponder":

say "That's not of particular concern at the moment.";

else:

say "That noun didn't make sense in that context.";
